Owner riding/driving in

  • Passport
  • Logcard (with LTA heading for SG cars/bikes)
  • Geran Kereta by JPJ (for MY cars/bikes)
  • TM2/3 (2 copies)
  • TDAC (digital arrival card) to be submitted within 3 days prior to arrival to Thailand.

Non owner riding/driving in

  • Passport
  • Logcard (with LTA heading for SG cars/bikes)
  • Geran Kereta by JPJ (for MY cars/bikes)
  • TM2/3 (2 copies)
  • Photocopy vehicle owner IC (2 copies)
  • Letter of authorisation (LOA)

TM2/3 forms

  • TM2 – Vehicle Conveyance
  • TM3 – Passenger List (required if have passengers)

Upon arrival at Thai immigration

Passport clearance

  • Passport
  • TM2/3 (2 copies) β€” they will stamp a copy and return 1 copy for you to surrender upon exiting Thailand.
  • (RM2 per passport as overtime fees to the officer). fee varies

Customs clearance for bike/car

  • Passport
  • Logcard (with LTA heading for SG cars/bikes)
  • Geran Kereta by JPJ (for MY cars/bikes)
  • May or may not have β€œfees”

For non owner, please submit:

  • LOA
  • Vehicle owner IC copy

Note 1: If the owner is present as a passenger, get the owner to do the vehicle clearance. This will eliminate IC copy and LOA. (Who’s driving in doesn’t matter)

Note 2: Thailand Customs will provide a copy of the temporary import permit.
Do not lose it β€” you will need to return the copy upon departure Thailand.
There is a 10k baht fine for not returning the permit on your next trip.

Note 3: Better to get Malaysia entry and exit chop on your SG passport, as that may be checked at the Thailand Land Border.
