Tenggaroh is a quiet area in Eastern coast of Johor in Malaysia.
Tenggaroh is a sub-district (mukim) in Mersing District, Johor, Malaysia. The mukim spans over an area of 178 square km, consists of 11 villages and also includes Kerengga Island and Lilang Island.
I rode my 1995 Harley on the quiet coastal from Desaru here one sunny weekday afternoon.
When I reach this beach at mid afternoon, I saw the most amazing colours in the water. The water was blue, green and brown. See photos below for the unique colours.
This beach is near the ferry terminal, near Tenggahru town. You can reach it via Jalan Tanjung Leman road. Take the road that leads to the ferry terminal to Pulau Sibu.
The roads are almost empty except for the occasional car, truck or scooter. The paved roads are in good condition, except for the occasional potholes which are easy to avoid.
The beach is clean and empty.
Highly Recommend if you like quiet country roads and empty beaches 🙂
There are several beach resorts in this stretch of beach.
The Tanjung Leman Beach Resort (Tel: 07-791-3002) has small rustic chalets on a nice beach near the ferry terminal.
One of the larger resort is the Felda Residence, Tanjung Leman. Tel: 07-7911155.
